Tom (Tosh) EvansDonate to Tom (Tosh) Evans "Fairly new to all this running malarkey, started back in September with the aim of improving my general fitness. After a fairly indulgent Christmas I decided I wanted to get more serious and possibly compete in a race. Unfortunately this ambitious thinking coincided with a friend's Facebook update saying that Down's Heart Group were looking for someone to run the London Marathon. Excitement got the better of me and before I knew it I was beginning a training programme during one of the harshest winters for 30yrs!
But I know how hard it can be to get a place in such a prestigious event and am really grateful to Down's Heart Group for the opportunity. I've recently become a father and my younger sister had major heart surgery when she was born so I personally feel very privileged to be running to raise money for such a worthy charity."

I'm running for DHG- an amazng charity which deserves your support. Plus - for anyone who hasn't done a marathon before, I can assure you - IT IS HARD- so PLEASE sponsor me! I'm aiming for £1500 overall, so any contribution will be great!"

They have been through a real tough time and it is really important that there is support and information out there to help parents like them. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations."
Barrie WatsonDonate to Barrie Watson "Only 32 days to go - must be madness on my part! For those of you that know me well, the question is will I be able to keep out of the pub long enough to make the distance. . . .? Well I have a plan for this and am working on a training schedule which keeps me focussed. Yes, I am doing it pub by pub! This is a challenge, a big challenge the like of which I have never done before. But this is well worth the pain, blood, sweat and tears as I am running (hopping, skipping, jumping and at some point inevitably crawling) those 26 miles (who added those 365 yards in to it??) for a very worth while Charity, The Down's Heart Group. Some of you know this charity, some of you have performed such miraculous feats as I am to embark upon for this charity, some of you would like to know more - please do visit them on www.dhg.org.uk Most of all please give generously. Thanks for your support, Barrie"
