Improving Health and Lives: Learning Disabilities ObservatoryThe Observatory aims to provide better, easier to understand, information on the health and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities. Marriage CareMarriage Care is a charity operating across England and Wales, from 53 Centres, with 80 counselling locations. They have just secured specific funding to offer some 3,000 counselling hours to the parents (can mean single, divorced, separated or more distantly related adult carers) of disabled or chronically sick children. The pilot project will start in May 2011 and cover Greater London and Essex, but if feedback is positive, they hope to extend the service.
