Down's Heart Group has an online community of worldwide contacts who keep in touch via email messages. Members can elect to receive individual emails, a daily digest or to read messages by going to the online message board. BILD - The British Institute of Learning DisabilitiesWorks with the government and other organisations to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities. Also does research, such as how to include people with learning disabilities in making decisions.www.bild.org.uk
Contact a FamilyContact a Family is the only UK-wide charity providing advice, information and support to the parents of all disabled children - no matter what their disability or health condition. We also enable parents to get in contact with other families, both on a local and national basis.www.cafamily.org.uk
Early SupportEarly Support is for families with young disabled children. It is the Government’s recommended approach to co-ordinating services across England. This website is for anyone who works regularly with very young children and for families.
