CONFERENCE AND FAMILY FUN WEEKEND

What a great weekend!

Thanks to all our speakers and stallholders!

This year's speakers were yet again excellent.

Dr Rob Tulloh and Dr Graham Stuart gave everyone food for thought during their talk on excercise and exertion.

Jill Davies spoke of exciting new developments for our youngsters' independence in the future.

Workshops included music therapy with Annie Tyhurst and some very enthusiastic children, Amy Worton from Derwen College giving an insight into college life, Susan Smith from DWP with sound advice on benefits and Annette Scott (APS) with all we need to know about wills and trusts.

There was a good variety of displays and stalls Phoenix cards, Medic Alert, Utility Warehouse,Collis toothbrushes, Interactive Sports and Bristol DSA to name but a few.

Ali Pearce, DHG's official photographer attended all day. As well as taking some great shots of the day, Ali provided a fantastic display of her work and ran a raffle for two framed prints.

The creche workers ran a wonderful day long facility for all the youngsters - it seemed to be one big party!

Family Fun Time!

Saturday evening was magical. Everyone enjoyed a three course meal - even the Everyclick mouse sat down to eat. Then it was disco time. The theme was Halloween, with the option of dressing up. The dance floor was full all night and no one wanted to go to bed!
